Privacy Policy

Effective October 28, 2026· Applies to the BRODEC mobile app and brodec.ai, operated by Bromigos (“we”, “us”).

What we collect

Account: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo via Firebase Authentication. We use them to create and secure your operative profile.

Content you provide: Mission chat messages, voice transmissions, profile details, and any images or files you choose to upload. Voice-command audio is processed into text to drive gameplay.

Microphone: Used only while you speak to operators or issue voice commands — for live comms (via LiveKit) and speech-to-text. The app does not listen in the background.

Location: Some missions use your device location to verify you have reached an objective. Location is checked against mission waypoints during play; we do not build movement profiles or sell location data.

Device & diagnostics: Push-notification tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging) and basic crash/performance data, used to deliver alerts and keep the app working.

Payments: Subscriptions are processed by Google Play, Apple, or Stripe. We never see or store your card number.

How we use it

To run the game: authenticate you, generate operator dialogue and voice audio (using AI services including Google's Gemini and Fish Audio), coordinate live missions, deliver notifications, and process subscriptions. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Who we share it with

Only service providers that make the app work: Google (Firebase — authentication, database, storage, messaging, AI), LiveKit (live voice), Fish Audio (voice synthesis), Stripe (billing), Cloudflare (serves our map tiles), and OpenStreetMap's place search (Nominatim and Photon, asked by our servers with only the link or place name you look up). Each receives only what its function requires. We disclose data beyond this only if the law requires it.

On your phone only

On-device AI: Catch-ups, reply suggestions, translation, holotape transcripts, proofreading, smart actions, holo-faces and reading text or codes in photos run on your phone's own models (Gemini Nano and ML Kit on Android, Apple Intelligence and Apple's frameworks on iPhone). The messages, audio and pictures they read never leave your phone for them; transcripts and holo-faces you keep stay in the app's private storage on your phone.

Motion and health (optional): Off until you turn each one on in FIELD OPS › THE CUFF. Motion (walking, running, cycling, in a vehicle) comes from your phone's activity recognition; steps and heart rate are read from Health Connect (Android) or Apple Health (iPhone), read only. They are shown on your phone and never uploaded, synced, sold or shared, and are not used for advertising. Turn them off, or TURN IT ALL OFF to give every permission back, at any time.

Retention & deletion

Your data is kept while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing contact@bromigos.org; we complete deletion within 30 days.

Children

BRODEC is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
